3 Day Tour

You’ll arrive in Ha Giang the night before your tour starts. Meet others doing the loop with you, grab some food at the taco restaurant next door and get some rest at our hostel in the shared dorm (if you’d prefer a private room, let us know and we can arrange this for a small fee).

Day 1: Ha Giang - Dong Van (140km)

  • Start your day with breakfast at the hostel. If you haven’t already, here’s the chance to meet the other people on your group.

  • We’ll run through the itinerary with you and explain each stop (if you’ve not paid your final balance now’s the time for that, we’ll also sort your return bus journeys if you need us to).

  • You’ll meet your easy rider (if you have requested one) and begin the tour!

  • The spectacular views begin almost immediately with a stop at the Twin Mountains and the Top of the World Viewpoint.

  • Grab a photo at the iconic Tham Ma Pass. This is one of the most popular photo opportunities on the entire Ha Giang Loop.

  • Moon Rocks Viewpoint is another highlight of day one, and you’ll see plenty more of these incredible limestone karst and black rock landscapes.

  • Want to visit China? Whilst you won’t actually get to step foot in the neighboring country, we do visit the Northern Point which offers views of China only a stone’s throw away.

  • We finish the day with a visit to Lo Lo Chai Village. Home to the Lo Lo people and their houses made from earth, stone and clay. This is a fascinating insight into one of Ha Giang’s ethnic communities.

  • When you’ve finished, you’ll head to your homestay and check in to your private rooms and then enjoy a family dinner.

Day 2: Dong Van - Du Gia (80km)

  • Start the day by testing your fear of heights. If you’re brave enough, you can take on the Sky Walk and get an awesome photo overlooking the valley and villages below.

  • Only a few minutes away, we’ll stop at Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most breathtaking views that you’ll see on the entire Ha Giang Loop.

  • Many people’s favourite activity offered on Road Kings Ha Giang tour is the bamboo boat ride on the Ngoc Long River. We jump on this traditional raft and head into a remarkable cave where you can go for a little swim.

Day 3: Du Gia - Ha Giang (70km)

  • If you’re feeling a bit sleepy, don’t worry because the day begins with a swim at the waterfall in Du Gia.

  • The final day is filled with yet more unforgettable viewpoints, landscapes and rural villages. It’s a long day of driving, but you won’t want it to end!

  • You’ll return to Phuot House where you’ll sadly say goodbye to your awesome guide, easy riders and new-found friends.

The loop may be subject to change or done in reverse depending on availability and group size.

What’s the difference between the 3 and 4 day tours?

The 3 and 4 day routes follow the same path for the first 3 days, then the 4 day tour will continue onto Lung Khuy cave, Twin mountains, a hidden waterfall and of course a couple of coffee shops along the way. The homestay on the third night is a lot of peoples favorite, it’s the most traditional of our homestays along the route.
